Does the power supply switch off automatically when the target storage temperature is reached or does it run continuously?

The power supply switches off as soon as the set temperature is reached.

Up to how many degrees Celsius does the Nexol Energy Controller heat the water?

The boiler heats the water to a maximum of 65°C.

Do I need a special hot water or buffer tank for NEX R1 or NEX R2?

No, the storage tank only needs to have a 1 1/2 inch heating cartridge connection. Alternatively, many memories also have a revision port into which a commercially available adapter can be inserted.

When installing, the length of the heating elements (45 cm) and the area of the heating-free zone (9 cm from the sealing surface) must be taken into account.

How can stratified charging be implemented with the NEX R series?

Layered charging can be implemented in the memory by the NEX R2. Typically, the DC screw-in heater is installed in the lower third and the AC/DC screw-in heater in the upper third of the storage tank. Both screw-in heaters are controlled via the Nexol Energy Controller. The temperature of the direct current heating can be set separately for the mains reheating. Reheating from the mains can also be deactivated completely.

Do I have to register my PV system?

No, since the PV electricity generated is consumed as direct current with the Energy Controller, electricity is never fed into the grid. Seen in this way, our system can be viewed as an isolated system.

Is an MPP tracker integrated into the Nexol Energy Controller?

Yes, an MPPT is integrated into every NEC, which optimizes the yield from the PV cell.

What happens when the sun doesn't shine?

During periods of bad weather or times of higher demand, the Nexol Energy Controller automatically switches to AC heating (if this is activated). The water is then heated up to the specified “mains temperature”.

What happens when the Nexol Energy Controller calibrates?

Depending on the rotation of the screw-in heater, the water around the temperature sensor may heat up at different rates. To ensure that this does not distort the heating process, the screw-in heaters are heated in a controlled manner when there is sufficient heating, thus filtering out any possible offset.

The displayed temperature increases very quickly

The screw-in heaters have been in use for some time and now, shortly after heating operation begins, the displayed temperature rises unusually quickly?

If the temperature in the hot water tank does not increase significantly at the same time, the cause may be severe calcification of the heating elements.
